Previous step: Step 9: Submit Your Return

After verifying your return, you are ready to generate the .cor file. Click Ready to File T2(.COR) to begin.

You will be asked to click Yes to enter your Web Access Code or EFILE number and password. Click No to continue generating the .cor file.

You will be prompted to complete the verification process first, even if you have already completed it before.

Then, you will save the .cor file.

By default, all versions of FutureTax save files under the same base folder in the Documents folder (replace <YourUsername> with your Windows username):

C:\Users\<YourUsername>\Documents\FutureTax

Each version then stores its files in a subfolder named after that version:

C:\Users\<YourUsername>\Documents\FutureTax\T2 2025.2

After saving the .cor file, a message will display the location where it was saved. Click OK to open the folder, or click Cancel to close the message.
